About This Certification

This training is led by Tiffany Stewart, Owner of TGS LAB, a full-time practicing paramedical tattoo professional who actively treats real clients on a daily basis when not teaching. Instruction is grounded in current, real-world studio experience, not theory taught in isolation.

Unlike programs led by instructors who focus solely on teaching, this training is informed by daily hands-on client work, real case management, and the realities of running a working paramedical tattoo studio. Students learn techniques that are actively used in practice because they are taught by someone who applies them every day.

What Sets This Training Apart

  • 3-day in-person training designed for deeper learning (not a rushed two-day format)
  • Instruction from a working studio owner, not a full-time trainer disconnected from daily client care
  • Hybrid structure with at-home theory completed prior to the in-person training
  • Small class sizes for personalized, one-on-one guidance
  • Emphasis on real technique, real correction, and real-world application

Why In-Person, Studio-Based Training Matters

Paramedical tattooing is a hands-on skill that cannot be mastered through observation alone. In-person training allows for real-time feedback on hand movements, depth control, tissue response, and professional workflowthe details that are learned only through daily client work.

The Scottsdale Experience

Hosted in the heart of Scottsdale, this training takes place in a professional studio environment where students gain confidence, practical experience, and a strong foundation to begin or expand their paramedical tattoo practice with intention and integrity.

Learn the Work That Helps People Feel at Home in Their Skin Again

Scars, stretch marks, and skin changes can carry more than visible marks — they can carry emotion, insecurity, and stories people are ready to soften.

Paramedical tattooing is meaningful work. It requires technical skill, safety, patience, artistry, and deep respect for the person trusting you with their body.

At TGS Lab Academy, students learn more than technique. They learn how to assess skin, understand tissue behavior, work conservatively, communicate with clients, and approach this industry with professionalism and care.

Program Structure

How the Training Works

**Phase 1: At-Home Pre-Study**

Before arriving in Scottsdale, students complete required theory and educational materials from home. This helps create a stronger foundation before the hands-on portion begins.

At-home study includes foundational concepts in:

Skin anatomy
Safety and sanitation
Professional standards
Scar and stretch mark theory
Client preparation
Required Bloodborne Pathogen certification

Bloodborne Pathogen certification is mandatory and must be completed before participating in live model work.

**Phase 2: 3-Day In-Person Intensive**

The in-person portion is designed to help students move from theory into guided practice with direct instruction, technique correction, and supervised model work.

Day One: Foundations, Practice Skins & First Models

Students begin with technique foundations, safety setup, skin assessment, scar behavior, color theory, and professional workflow before moving into practice skins and supervised model work.

Focus areas include:

Skin anatomy and tissue types
Scar and stretch mark classifications
Color theory and skin assessment
PPE, sterilization, and tray setup
Client consultation and expectation setting
Practice skin technique
Supervised inkless revision on live models

Day Two: Inkless Revision & Introduction to Camouflage

Day two builds confidence through continued hands-on work, deeper technique refinement, and an introduction to camouflage principles.

Focus areas include:

Additional inkless scar and stretch mark revision
Hand movement and tissue response
Depth control and pattern recognition
Introduction to camouflage
Color matching and tone assessment
Beginning camouflage application on live models

Day Three: Camouflage Application & Completion

The final day focuses on refinement, supervised application, marketing foundations, and preparing students to continue building case studies after training.

Focus areas include:

Color refinement
Tone matching for lighter scars
Conservative camouflage techniques
Supervised live model camouflage work
Photography and marketing basics
Social media presence
Final Q&A
Certificate presentation

The training outline aligns with Tiffany’s approved program structure: at-home study followed by a 3-day in-person intensive in Scottsdale.

Client documentation systems
Pre-care and aftercare protocols
